Recently, I went on a walk and encountered some bullocks (young bulls) in a field. I named one of them Benji. I gave them some apple 🍎.
Benji is, most likely, being grown for beef. Unless he is saved, he will most likely end up on someone's plate.
Cattle are sentient and intelligent beings who have best friends, mourn and bellow when their calves are taken away and probably enjoy their lives when allowed outside to grass. They are wonderful beings who can likely learn to love people if treated with kindness, compassion and care and not slaughtered.
I know cattle are bred to be slaughtered for meat, but this doesn't make it any more justified. They still feel and their lives matter. They are lovely 😊.
With so many vegan options being produced, and with so much market for vegan food (half a million Britons are vegan, if I'm right), why not switch to just farming vegan crops, fruits and vegetables? You could help feed the nation and provide many, many people with their five-a-day during this pandemic... Some farmers have already switched from farming animals to growing vegan crops, fruits and vegetables, why not join them?
Please, please, please, PLEASE save Benji and all the other animals!
