Demand that Hermès stop selling items made from crocodile and alligator skins

Sorry no picture of crocodiles or alligators.

Hermès is known for its handmade luggage and handbags. One bag might require 18 to 24 hours to produce. The construction of each bag, for example, requires 18 hours to fully realize. Hermès's leathers come from all over the world. Customers may currently wait from six months to one year for delivery of one of the house signature bags.
Alligators and crocodiles whose skins are sold to Hermès-owned tanneries languish in dank sheds or barren concrete pits and are finally killed before even reaching adulthood. Their lives and deaths are the stuff of nightmares. At one alligator-skin supplier, an investigator documented that workers crudely cut into the necks of some alligators and tried to scramble their brains with metal rods--all in the name of "luxury fashion." Some animals were still conscious, flailing and kicking, even minutes after workers tried to kill them.
There is no justification for supporting such blatant cruelty. Stop buying and selling crocodile and alligator-skin accessories immediately.
