We demand the Lantern apologize for the recent racist content in its paper!

This Wednesday, our campus was shocked and appalled by the racist and xenophobic advertisement that was printed in your paper. The offending ad on page 5A categorized Iranians and all Muslims as “crazies.” While we realize that this is a paid advertisement and may not reflect the views of the staff at the Lantern, we feel the Lantern shares responsibility for what they accept to print into their paper.

All OSU students deserve to read their own campus newspaper without feeling hated because of their identity. We demand a public and printed apology from the Lantern for this allowing such hate into our newspaper.
