Voting rights for felons

The issue here is, just curious you made a mistake 20 or more years ago, you shouldn't be punished the rest of your life. To this day I cannot vote cuz I left the state to get away from drugs and addictions. I don't have the money to go all the way from Georgia to California to clear it up. So I can't vote cuz of this. I been clean and doing right for 20 years now. Yet I cannot vote. Make it where under certain circumstances felons are allowed to vote.
