PETITION OF NO CONFIDENCE RE: WCCUSD SUPERINTENDANT MATTHEW DUFFY

The history of institutional racism has plagued black students for over a hundred years. For the last 4 years, Matthew Duffy has not shown any sense of urgency in addressing the achievement gap affecting black students.

Duffy's tenure as Superintendent of the WCCUSD has been marked with financial mismanagement that has led to a budget deficit of over $41 million and a reckless disregard for the advancement of equity and academic achievement for students of color.

Therefore, we the undersigned have no confidence in the leadership of Matthew Duffy and call for his immediate removal.
