Imagine this;
You or your close family member, such as your mother; the woman who brought you up and gave you life, were terminally ill, constantly in pain, not being able to eat, drink or even go to the toilet on her own; this is what my mum went through. 23 years of fighting this terrible illness, not being able to do anything for herself for the last 4 weeks of her life, my mum wanted to die, she wanted to choose when her life ended, but instead she was stuck in a bed 24/7 on morphine, she died choking on this morphine; not being able to stop herself; she died with no dignity because of this countries inability to give people the basic right to choose when they die. My name is Amy, I am creating this petition to change this, we put dogs down when they are ill, we put family pets down through the choice of their owners but we can't let a human who is constantly in pain choose when to end their lives?! This needs to stop! Stop expecting people to suffer, if they are of sound mind and there is good reason for them to end their lives then why not let them choose? Please don't let your family member or possibly yourself suffer in the furture, sign this petition and lets re-think human rights.
Edit; since it is so important for some readers to know this, my goal as already stated is to get basic human rights re thought about and get humans the right to choose what happens to thier bodies. I am very serious about this matter and I WILL drag it to parliment so that no one else has to die with the lack of dignity that my mum did.
