Stop birds being mutilated in railway stations.

Pigeons and other birds are being mutilated above our heads in railway stations. Glasgow Central Train Station has thought it acceptable to add razor sharp metal strips to the joists above our heard in the station to stop the birds roosting. Unfortunately they forgot to mention this to the birds who continue to try to land on these horrific blades and slice their feet and legs.
Look around you in the station are you will see that ALL the birds have deformed feet with missing toes, mushed flesh and some with feet missing altogether while trying to walk on stumps !
This did not happen in the past before fast food outlets such as Burger King began establish tables on the platform areas and so encourage birds to eat. They also have indoor availability for eating so this is not a necessity.
What is an necessity is to remove these barbarous blades which obviously cause such pain and suffering around us.
Do we really want our visitors to Britain to be confronted with such cruelty when they pass through our stations in a country known for its affection for animals ?
Please have these removed and find an easier and m ore acceptable way of controlling birds such as removing tables from outside food venues.
