Being on a FIRST robotics team requires just as much, if not more dedication as any other sport. Teamwork is one of the biggest parts of FIRST, without the different alliances and subteams we wouldn't be able to have all the teams we have. STEM is the most important element in FIRST. We learn how to do coding, use numerous tools, and the ideals of teamwork and technology. By passing this law we could better spread the ideals of FIRST and STEM across our nation. This also gives a place for the outcasts and students who desire the element of competition but maybe don't possess the endurance for sports like football or baseball. The definition of a sport is an activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others. Robotics possesses all of those things and more. Not only ould this branch out more in FIRST, it would spread science, technology, engineering, and mathematics throughout the country.
