Demand To Revoke CDC Guidelines And Treat Patients With Pain NOW

We are one of millions of Americans who have been forced to lose our quality of life thanks to 2016 CDC "guidelines" regarding use of opioids to treat chronic & severe pain. Opioids have been cultivated and safely used by humans for more than 4,000 years. These "guidelines" were created not by MDs, but by psychiatrists, psychologists, and "substance abuse experts" with considerable stake in opioid withdrawal drugs and treatment centers. Vets, cancer patients, and even hospice patients now being denied life-giving meds & forced into dangerous "alternative treatments" such as pricey and dangerous injections or high-dose NSAIDs, which are far more dangerous than any opioid. Elderly are being denied pain meds even after major surgery and told it is because of fear that they will become addicted. This is a false and dangerous narrative. According to the Journal of Medicine, only .06% of patients prescribed opioids become addicted, yet we are all being treated like addicts & punished for simply reporting our pain. This is an unpreceedented breach on the 2,000-year doctor-patient relationship, and it must end immediately! #SuicideDue2Pain is on the rise, and no one should see suicide as a way out because their doctors live in fear of treating their own patients.

- We need to take our healthcare out of the hands of unaccountable government agencies and NGO's who are profiting handsomely from our suffering. Healthcare decisions shoud be decided by doctors and patients - not psyhciatrists, HMOs, lawyers, or politicians.

- We must end the false narrative that certain patients are deserving of medical treatment while others are not. None of us who suffer from pain chose it as our primary symptom, yet we are criminlaized and seen as potential "addicts" for simply reporting our symptoms. Do we do this to diabetics in need of insulin?

- We must end the DEA raids on good doctors who treat their patients with compassionate care.

- There must be a full investigation on the number of Americans who lost their lives due to malpractice, patient abandonment, neglect, and suicide due to pain. All who profited from this "crisis" shall be charged and convicted under full penalty of the law.

- Each and every patient who has been turned away by physicians and clinics who "don't treat pain" shall be given free legal assistance from any and all funds collected by state agencies to implement 2016 CDC Guidelines. Patients shall establish these bodies on a state level, coordinating with State AGs in identifying criminal behavior waged against them between 2016-present. Any awards from pharmaceutical companies to state AG's in regards to the "opioid crisis" shall go towards this fund as well.
