Friends, In its recent email, IUSD confirmed that it knows there are issues with the current COMMON CORE MATH program, especially with respect to Middle School. It is time for us to take action. By signing this petition you are letting Principal Vlasic know that you are unsatisfied with the current state of MATH at Vista Verde and would like him to find ways of improving it. This is in no way a reflection on our teachers, who do an excellent job, but rather a statement about: 1. The current Common Core Books being used 2. The lack of differentiated learning in Math 3. The lack of instructional aides to enable students to do challenge work 4. The need for a system of acceleration for those who are ready By signing this petition you are letting Principal Vlasic know that we need action on these issues and it needs to be addressed rather than "studied" as IUSD is doing. The undersigned do hereby humbly request that Principal Vlasic begin to take action on these issues as it needs to be addressed rather than "studied" as IUSD is doing.We are ready and willing to meet with you and assist you in the process. We the undersigned also agree to help Principal Vlasic and our fantastic teachers to become the IUSD Middle School known for its exemplary Math program.
