Trump has told his staff to slow COVID-19 testing down to reduce cases in the United States. This is, of course, illogical – reducing testing simply reduces the number of documented cases.
The President is panicked because he has fulfilled his campaign promise to make the United States the greatest country in the world…AKA the greatest number of cases and the greatest number of deaths. With re-election coming up, his solution now is to cover-up the stark reality of his failure.

The CDC estimates that 40% of COVID-19 transmission happens before people start to feel sick. Because we don't have a national testing strategy, we aren't coming close to catching and controlling this pre-symptomatic phase…and over 120,000 Americans have died.
But Trump wants to reduce testing further. So that HE looks better. Has there ever been a man so singularly selfish?
Our lives matter more than Trump's reelection. Congress must step in.
