We are a quiet taxpaying community that enjoys the privilege of our properties located in the direct vicinity of the proposed Humble Farms Facility (HFF). We believe this proposal has been ill conceived particularly at this early stage in the legal procurement of cannabis. Operator is lacking any credibility both operationally and financially to be positioned to address the following concerns:
a) application states that the property was selected....based on its "remote location with no residences in close vicinity." To the contrary our community is within 400 meters of the proposed location.
b) residence being closer will be affect affected by the decibel rates to which the county has advised that this could affect the rating but it would be up to the
production facility to reduce the rating. This seems a simple responsibility to the county who appear happy to pass on to the residents to enforce?
c) increased road traffic will only be that of the employees four vehicles plus one cube van for deliveries. This is clearly insufficient detail. What about contractors, how often will employees be commuting during the day. The road is already over pressured with the waste hauling from the location in the centre of our community.
d) the facility is proposing to operate off existing septic as opposed to our community which was legislated to mandatory hook up?
e) the county has not presented any bonafide level of due diligence required to provide the community with the comfort that our best interests have been considered in any aspect of this proposal.
