Please demand that the Care2 team stop being such hypocrites and censors.

I created a petition http://www.thepetitionsite.com/184/462/066/songs-that-encourage-gender-violence/ for which I chose a closing date of 13th July - partly because it's my birthday, and partly because I've seen that a sister petition on avaaz.org [which some people advised me was too complicated: hence the user-friendly version here on Care2] was so sluggish to get up and running that I thought this petition on Care2 should be given plenty of time to gather enough signatures to do any good at all. And now, after just a few days and 15 signatures I find a sign:
"PETITION CLOSED
This petition is now closed. You can still make a difference in the Care2 community by signing other petitions today."

HOW can I "make a difference" by taking a petition with FIFTEEN signatures to a NATIONAL radio network???

You have made me waste my time and bother my friends by PLEADING with them to sign a petition that's very important to me... but doesn't mean beans to you.

And meanwhile, thousands of women will be killed because our culture teaches its young that "real" men SHOULD kill women who "cheat" on them.

WHY was it closed? Because it wasn't gathering signatures quickly enough to count as one of your success stories?
Because I'd chosen a closing date too far in the future? Then WHY does your site technology ALLOW me to choose that date???
Because I had started a similar petition with your rival in the petition stakes?
Because it offered a link to another web-site?
Because the video is disturbing? It's SUPPOSED TO BE DISTURBING. It's sung from the point of view of a woman who's being raped!!! THAT's what the petition is about!
WHATEVER your reasons, I find them petty. I have decided that you are a SHAM and I'm going to unsubscribe from you HYPOCRITES... and advise my friends to do so.
