Whereas, Vermont's young people are our greatest resource and treasure; and
Whereas, marijuana legalization leads to increased consumption; and
Whereas, the commercial marijuana industry will try without ceasing to increase consumption among our young people, to the detriment of their mental and physical health, education, careers and future;
Therefore, as a registered voter in the State of Vermont, I demand that my legislators, the Vermont Legislature as a body, and the Governor refuse and reject any and all legislation to legalize the commercial cultivation and sale of marijuana.
