Call for a Citizen's Coalition with the Saint John Police Force for Accountability and Transparancy

With the movement of Black Lives Matter, we are seeking support for the establishment of a Citizen's Coalition for Police Accountability and Transparency. The Coalition would be comprised of citizens from each under represented community groups, mental health professionals, healthcare professionals, teachers, group members of the Saint John Human Development Council and affiliated organizations and representatives from the Saint John Police Force. The purpose would be to create an open path of communication between the Police and the citizens they serve. We as a community need to know how we can support the Saint John Police Force in an effort to prevent the escalation in police and civilian incidents and deaths.
