FORMAL OBJECTION TO THE PROPOSED FIXED CARVANS AND HARD-STANDING ON THE LAND ADJACENT TO SHEEP WALK

We want to register formal protest against the proposed fixed caravans and hard-standing application for the land adjacent to Sheep Walk (reference 14/01266/FUL).

The reasons fall into two main categories.

1) The Land
The land is Green Belt and flood plain, much the same as other properties along Chertsey Road and Sheep Walk. Our understanding is this classification exists to prevent the land from being built/lived on and should be staunchly protected. If the intention is allow building/residences on this land, does that mean the council will set a precedent that will allow other land owners the same rights to create additional residences on the Green Belt. We do not want this as the fact that this land is Green Belt is a key reason why many of us choose to live here.

2) The type of development.
Given the type of development proposed we do not believe that the number of caravans and people moving onto the land can and will be controlled if this initial application is approved. There have been numerous issues with people living on that land illegally in the past and approving this application will allow more of these problems.
