Secretary of War Crimes Pete Hegseth is on a rampage, and no, we're not talking about the catastrophic war he's currently overseeing in Iran or his extrajudicial killing spree on the high seas. In just the past week alone, Hegseth ousted three of our military's top generals, including Army Chief of Staff Gen. Randy George, who was unceremoniously dismissed for voicing legitimate concerns about the direction the Army was heading under the former Fox News personality's leadership.
Since taking over at the Pentagon — and renaming it the Department of War — Hegseth has fired more than a dozen high-ranking officers, including multiple generals and admirals, blindsiding long-time military leaders and raising serious concerns about the long-term direction of the world's largest and most advanced military force. We simply cannot let a woefully unqualified secretary of Defense continue to decimate the US military's most experienced and respected voices, especially during a time of war.

This is not routine personnel management. This is the deliberate dismantling of our nation's military command structure at the worst possible moment. Five former US secretaries of Defense — including retired Gen. Jim Mattis, appointed by Donald Trump himself during his first term — warned that Hegseth's dismissals raise "troubling questions about the administration's desire to politicize the military and to remove legal constraints on the president's power."
These are decorated, battle-tested commanders with decades of irreplaceable experience being escorted out the door by a man can't be trusted to drive a bus, let alone lead an entire military.
