Demand man who viciously attacked his dog is banned from owning pets for life

In a shocking case of animal abuse, a man in Perth, Australia faces jail for repeatedly kicking his dog.

The attack on the dog by its owner, Te Kapua Reremoana Hemopo, left the dog with serious injuries - vets were forced to amputate the dog's right hind leg after he was described as kicking the dog hard, “like a soccer ball.”

The abuse caused blood to pour from the dog but Mr Hemopo continued to repeatedly kick the dog, according to witnesses.

Furthermore, the dog suffered extensive fractures to its right shoulder, skull, jaw and broken ribs which pierced its lungs as a result.

Consequently, the man was banned from owning any animal for 10 years and made to pay a fine. However, the serious and sustained nature of the attack should see him banned from owning another pet for life.

Animals are vulnerable to the personality of their owner. This man has demonstrated he cannot be trusted with caring for any kind of animal.
