The Biden Administration has a once-in-a-generation opportunity to crush the racial wealth gap and create real opportunity for all Americans — especially for groups that previous generations left behind.
Wherever racial or "other" identity is a determining factor in getting access to economic resources and social power, democracy is vulnerable. Which is why some of the pillars of Biden's American Rescue Plan MUST be made permanent, such as the expanded tax credits for children and low-income workers, increases in SNAP benefits, and additional funding for health services to underserved populations.
