Don't Eliminate the Minimum Age Requirement for Hunting, Wisconsin

Recently, Republicans in the Wisconsin State Assembly voted to get rid of the minimum requirement age for hunting, so that parents could start putting guns in their kids' hands at any age.

As it stands, kids as young as 10 can going hunting with a parent/mentor, so the need to drop the age even lower seems ridiculous. For the safety of themselves, fellow hunters and even the animals, there's no need that kid in kindergarten needs to be out in the woods with a loaded weapon.

Conservatives might push back on gun control, but in trying to drop even this restriction, they're demonstrating that even common sense is off the table when it comes to gun policy. Let's give kids the proper chance to mature before putting lethal weapons in their hands.
