Cross Walk at US Highway 61 and 10th street

Long overdue cross walk for the students of WBL North Campus and the residents of US Highway 61 and 10 Street

On Monday May 7th, 2007-Brittany Nelson was struck by a vehicle and sadly passed away on May 8th, 2007. It has been long known that the students from WBL North Campus have crossed this highway using "The Path" to get to McDonalds. Most of us believe these students, even though they should, will not walk 3-4 blocks south (12-16 blocks round trip) to the stop light and cross walk.

This petition is an attempt to have constructed and installed a push button activated crosswalk. When you activate the push button the light changes and stops traffic. It should have flashing cross walk signs on top and painted cross walk markings on the highway.

With the growth of White Bear Lake, Hugo, Centerville and Forest Lake, traffic is extremely dangerous on US Highway 61
