Pledge to Spaying and Neutering Your Pets to Solve Ontario's Pet Overpopulation

Pet overpopulation in Ontario is reaching critical levels as a direct result of animals left unaltered.

In Toronto alone, it is estimated by local cat rescue organizations that the number of homeless cats living in the streets is close to half a million. Spaying and neutering is a straightforward medical procedure with many health benefits, including a reduction in the risk of developing certain cancers and illnesses.

Some say that spay/neuter interferes with nature — they forget that domesticated dogs and cats are completely dependent on humans. It is our responsibility as their guardians to ensure that the number of companion animals born does not exceed the number of available homes.

You can help Ontario's pet overpopulation — pledge to spay or neuter your pet, and spread the word to your friends and family about its importance. With your help we can ensure that there are no longer unwanted pets or animal shelter resources over-worked.
