Ryerson Students in Solidarity Stop the Miners in Guatemala

The increasing prevalency of capitalism and globalization has affected the lives of many innnocent people. The thrive for more money, more ownership and more surplus leads to the rich to be richer and the poor to be poorer. So let me ask you this: Is this helping individuals prosper? Does this help create a better future for the next generation? No it does not.  The mining video not only brings a form of awareness but also strives for a community to come in solidarity and partake in international advocacy.The people of Guatemala have no where to go and are forced out of their lands. Let us stop this and tis why I am in support of creating a petition which declares the right for every individual to have freedom of opportunity, freedom of choice, freedom of speech...so please sign your name.
