Every year more than 10,000 dogs are stolen from their homes,beaten,stuffed in small cages,transported for days without food or water,skinned and boiled alive,slaughtered, and sold for meat.
First, it's a health issue. While being transported the dogs usually pick up diseases which are then being consumed by people. So by letting this happen you are causing diseases and killing people.
Second, you are exposing children to violence. These children are just on the way to school and have to walk by and witness thousands of dogs being abused and killed. It's not being taken into consideration of how these children feel about this and the trauma that they suffer from being exposed to this kind of violence.
