I urge the US government to sell off excess low priority land to private citizens.
Every year, the share of U.S. land that is government owned grows. Private property owners are getting shafted often. This is not right. The government should sell off surplus land to private citizens and developers, primarily developers of low-cost housing. Selling off the land will make the land taxable, generating income, along with the money generated from the sale.
