Elect the President by national popular vote

Donald Trump won the presidency after narrowly carrying a few states to put him above 270 electoral votes, even though Hillary Clinton won the popular vote by 2.9 million.

The 2016 election proved to be like 2000, where the candidate more voters picked did not become president.

It is past time that we start electing presidents by national popular vote. Surprisingly, we can actually do this--without a constitutional amendment!

Electing the president by popular vote would simply require implementing The National Popular Vote Interstate Compact—an agreement among several states and D.C. to award their electoral votes to whichever candidate wins the overall popular vote.

Once states totaling 270 electoral votes join the compact, the next presidential election will be determined by popular vote. States totaling 172 votes have already joined, so we're almost two-thirds of the way there!

We can do this, but we need YOUR help. Sign now if you agree: Elect the president by national popular vote.
