Declare Your Independence from Cancer

Cancer is the second leading killer in the United States. More than 560,000 Americans die every year from cancer -- that's more than 1,500 people each day. Cancer accounts for one out of every four deaths in the U.S.
Some forms of cancer are preventable and treatable if detected early -- but it requires screenings and vigilance about your body.
As we celebrate Independence Day this year, do your part! Declare your independence from cancer.
A Declaration of Independence from Cancer
We hold these truths to be self evident:
* More than 1.4 million people will be diagnosed with cancer this year.
* 1,500 people die each day from cancer.
* We the people can eliminate deaths from many types of cancer by screening.
Therefore I declare and pledge:
* To join the campaign to end cancer deaths in America.
* To get myself screened for types of cancer I am at risk for annually, as recommended by my doctor.
* To ask my friends and family to follow my example, join the campaign, be screened and help educate all Americans about our cause.firma la peticiónfirma la petición
