A brave former employee of Giant German Shepherd Ranch in Hopkins County, Texas is blowing the whistle on rampant, horrific abuse she witnessed there.

Before she went to the authorities, this witness was able to get video evidence of a brutal crime -- the owner of the ranch tied a poor dog named Kerra to a tree and shot her three times.

Sign the petition demanding that the Giant German Shepherd Ranch is shut down, and that its owner never be allowed to go near a pet ever again!

The video is horrific -- poor Kerra is cowering in fear. She appears to also be trying to get to her owner, maybe seeking comfort or reassurance that everything will be alright. But her owner looks at her with a gun in hand, and then brutally shoots Kerra, not once, but three times.

When faced with accountability, the owner of the ranch called this a "mercy killing" due to a large tumor Kerra had -- but medical euthanasia exists for merciful, compassionate end of life care, not giant guns and secluded execution spots. On top of that, the whistleblower employee claimed that Kerra was not killed because of a tumor, but rather because she could no longer breed.

Kerra was no longer profitable for this woman, so she killed her in cold blood.

The former employee also alerted police to ongoing abuse on the ranch -- including "extreme neglect, unethical practices, and criminal acts." She noted that there were at least 27 dead dogs at the facility. She had photos documenting horrific injuries and skeletal remains; filthy conditions and unthinkable neglect. These poor dogs were suffering so, so much.

Thankfully, authorities took quick action and arrested the owner of the ranch. But it is still unclear what will happen to the ranch itself and how this woman will truly be held accountable.

Unethical, neglectful dog breeding is a serious problem in the United States, with mother dogs and puppies suffering endlessly to make their cruel captors a profit. This woman was clearly a part of that nightmare system, and she needs to be kept from slipping back into the shadows of abusive breeding.

That's why we're asking the authorities in Hopkins County, Texas to do two things: shut down the Giant German Shepherd Ranch for good, and hand down a lifetime ban on this woman to keep her from owning or working with animals ever again. Sign the petition if you agree!
