Regular Flooding at LL28 5EW on the B5113 Bryn Y Maen Road, between Bryn-Y-Maem Farm and Bryn-y-Maen Education Centre LL28 5EP

The council claim no calls were logged in respect of flooding to this location therefore signage was not required. Yet signage has been in this location since December 2015 and still remains to this day .My daughter was driving to work on the evening of 18th December 2015, she works for Leonard Cheshire Home in Colwyn Heights. It was 9.15 pm the weather was terrible as rain had been falling for about three to four weeks so surface water was exceptionally heavy throughout Conwy County. She approached the above section of road on the b5113 which is a right hand blind bend into a dip which turns right again and upward. She drove into this bend unaware of any water problem, the road was flooded. The water came up over her bonnet but she managed to get through the water as did the cars following her, it was the next morning that problems started to happen to her car. After investigation by a Audi specialist it was found that water had entered in through the air vents on the bonnet and flooded the floor pan where the ECU, the main electronics box is, this caused all the problems on the car. My daughter final bill to repair her car came close to £500, which she has put a claim into Conwy County Borough Council, there insurance have refused to pay this bill as they state this road dose not flood.
