No one should lose their home in Quebec. Sign the pledge for real action on homelessness.

Across Quebec, more and more people are being pushed into homelessness.

Rent is rising, affordable housing is harder to find, and the cost of living keeps going up. For many people, it only takes one crisis — a job loss, a health problem, a sudden rent increase, or an eviction — to lose the safety of having a home.

This is no longer a small or isolated issue.

Quebec's 2025 Tout le Monde Compte count found 12,077 people experiencing visible homelessness across the province — a 20% increase since 2022. In Montreal alone, that number has now reached 5,036 people.

At Welcome Hall Mission, we see this reality up close.

For more than 150 years, Welcome Hall Mission has been serving people facing poverty and homelessness in Montreal. Every day, we meet people who are doing everything they can to stay afloat, but who are being failed by a housing system that has become too expensive and too hard to navigate.

Homelessness cannot be solved by pushing people out of sight and it cannot be solved by making life harder for those already in crisis. It takes real solutions.

That means more deeply affordable housing, better protection for tenants, stronger prevention measures, and more support for shelters, outreach teams, and community organizations.

No one should be forced to sleep outside, move from shelter to shelter, or live without the dignity and safety of a home.

Please sign our pledge today to show your support for affordable housing initiatives and practical, compassionate solutions to homelessness in Quebec!
