Our vision is a world without hunger.
Across Africa, South Asia, and Latin America, empowered community members are leading transformative change in their own villages and neighborhoods. Our community-led programs position women and girls at the heart of our work and focus on nutrition, education, climate-resilient farming, water and health.
The Hunger Project doesn't deliver solutions. Instead, we foster, catalyze and mobilize community members to become leaders who address the complex, interconnected causes of hunger themselves.
"When it's one of us, we can't visualize our progress, but when it's several of us, we can make an echo, even in the furthest places." - Abigail Servero Vasquez, community partner in San Juan Guichicovi.
We believe in the power of community-led development where local voices lead, build on their strengths and drive sustainable, systemic change. With our approach, people move from "I can't" to "We can," creating their own vision for a hunger-free future and taking action with local resources. Currently, our programs reach over 12 million people. With the participation of 22 countries worldwide, we're working together to transform the systems of inequity that create hunger and cause it to persist.
