It is a shock, travesty and very unfortunate that long-time Nevada County resident Pascale Fusshoeller is being considered for possible deportation through the ICE/ U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement. Pascale was working on her Green Card prior to her arrest on 10/8/2013 for a misdemeanor traffic violation in her neighborhood.

Please consider the contributions Pascale Fusshoeller has made to our community when deciding the outcome of her immigration status. Pascale has been a well respected and loved journalist in our region. It would be a loss to the citizens of our county and region if she were deported. I urge you to allow her to complete her green card application process and go through the US/California/Nevada County legal system to address the charges she faces without deportation.

Pascale has been released and is home, but they are conferring with lawyers as to what comes next. ICE/Immigration & Customs Enforcement is still processing her case. . .
