War is NOT the Answer to US-Iraq Problems
Urging the United Nations to use diplomacy to address Iraq rather than accepting the US push to make war.
We, the undersigned, ask that you urge the members of the United Nations Security Council and other UN and NGO bodies to press the US and its allies NOT to go to war against Iraq. We urge the UN representatives of the nations of the world to preserve peace in the Middle East and in the World by pursuing diplomatic means of resolving US fears about Iraqi weaponry.
The US Congress has signed off giving the current administration the power to make war against Iraq if it pleases. Bush has promised that this war will be "war without end". The UN is the last hope that we in the world have to prevent this needless carnage that could traumatize and destabilize the world.
