Minnesotans Deserve the Freedom to Make Their Own End-of-Life Decisions

The Minnesota End-of-Life Options Act has been introduced in Minnesota. The proposed legislation, modeled after the Oregon Death with Dignity law, would allow terminally ill adults of sound mind with a prognosis of 6 months or less to live, the option to request and receive a medication they could self-ingest for a peaceful death if their suffering becomes intolerable.

Your state lawmaker will VOTE on whether to pass this legislation. Contact them today and tell them that terminally ill Minnesotans deserve to make their own medical decisions.

To whom it may concern:

I believe that the ability to make my own healthcare decisions—in accordance with my personal values and beliefs—is a core basic freedom. I believe that individuals should be able to decide what's right for them at the end of their lives, especially in the face of terminal suffering. I join the majority of Minnesotans who support allowing mentally capable, terminally ill adults to choose to end their suffering by authorizing medical aid in dying.

I urge you to support the End-of-Life Options Act, HF1930 OR SF 1813.
