Katy was imprisoned in aged care for the ‘crime’ of having MS. Help end the hell for young Australians like Katy.

Aged care is right for some older people. But former teacher Katy was just 33 when she was forced to move into a home for the elderly.

She spent her days with people 50 years her senior, and her nights with a roommate 50 or 60 years her senior in the throes of dementia, their beds separated by only a thin curtain.

Katy didn’t know if she would ever leave—or if she would be spending her next 50 years trapped in hell.

Thankfully, Katy now lives with people her own age. But for nearly 800 other young adults living with MS, the hell continues. They are alone. And it’s heartbreaking, because no one should face MS alone.

If you think this is unacceptable, then do something about it.

Sign our pledge to support young people trapped in aged care, and help end the hell.
