Nukes Are Not the Answer
Our hearts go out to the people of Japan in this time of unspeakable tragedy and unimaginable chaos.
As the aftermath of the massive quake continues to unfold, Japan's nuclear power plants pose a continued threat to the safety and well-being of the region. The debate about nuclear power has been reignited in America and around the world.
Tell your senators that we need to invest in clean, renewable energy, not dirty, deadly, unsafe, and costly nuclear energy.
Nuclear energy is not the answer
Dear Decision Maker,
In the aftermath of the massive quake in Japan, the debate about nuclear power has been reignited in America and around the world.
Nuclear energy is not the answer. We can have a clean and healthy world without nuclear power, and meet our energy needs through energy efficiency and renewable, clean, and safe energy. The bottom line is that nukes are dirty, unsafe, deadly, and costly.
Government favoritism for nuclear energy in the form of subsidies, loan guarantees, and liability caps is not in our nation's interest and would commit our children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and generations to come to storing toxic, highly volatile nuclear waste for tens of thousands of years.
