Ban plastic fruit & veggie bags

Wasteful soft plastics like fruit and veggie bags at the supermarket are dangerous killers of turtles, whales and seabirds. 

It's horrific that supermarkets are wrapping fruit and vegetables in wasteful soft plastic, when our oceans are filling up with plastic pollution. 

We can start by banning soft plastic fruit & veggie bags in supermarkets.

Like shopping bags, these soft plastics are rarely recycled and they easily blow into waterways where they kill wildlife.

Turtles mistake plastic bags for their favourite food, jellyfish. Even whales and big mammals can swallow them, where they tangle up around other items and become life-threatening blockages.

Enough is enough. We don't need them - earth safe alternatives already exist.
