Definition of Collateral Damage: Shelters, rescues, and animals thrown under the bus by Westminster
Anyone that has ever loved an animal feels empathy for the animals in the commercials that Westminster has so callously removed from their viewers line of site. If they didn't represent your point of view when making this decision, then please, sign our petition and tell them you're going to boycott the Westminster Kennel Club. And while we're boycotting them we're throwing our full support towards Pedigree, their former sponsor that was thrown under the bus for "encouraging pet adoption."
Please join us by letting these larger than life corporation know that the little guy has a voice, and we're making it heard with our feet as we walk away from everything with their name on it!
Please sign our petition today and pass it along to everyone you know. We have an entire year to change their mind before the 2013 show!
Please help all the shelters and rescues that were thrown under the bus by this decision by signing our petition. I couldn't have said it any better than the comment left by Dr. Janet Canino of Indiana:
You can be pro-purebred without being anti-(sad) shelter dogs. You can't honestly think that showing a sad-eyed dog in a shelter is good reason to drop them, do you? Not all aspects of the human-dog relationship are uplifting. Why not support people who are trying to change those sad looks into happy ones.
Please join us today because it is only through you that we can make a difference. With your signature we can make the absence of the shelter and rescue animals from the Westminster Dog Show a one year marketing event that failed. But we can't do it without you.
