Just about everyone will agree - Teachers are underpaid and expected to do more and more every year. And yet, any time there is a budget revision, Education is always one of the the first to be on the chopping block. Our nation cannot become great, our children cannot become productive, patriotic members of society until we focus on the future - our children. Stop cutting where it is already lean!!! Put MORE money, not less into education. Raise teachers' salaries so that you draw GOOD teachers into teaching. Give schools more money to update their books, technology and provide the necessary supplies both students and teachers sorely need. Other countries value education - and are stronger for it. Don't just talk about the problem - put your money where your mouth is. We must stop funding so many private business ventures, stop "fixing" every single road in the cities, and start focusing on the real need of our country!
We the undersigned want our children to succeed. Focus budget needs on providing MORE, not less, money towards education in the manner of teacher salaries, technology and supplies. Find other programs for budget cuts - Don't shortchange our children any longer!
