Extending Bus Service to The Veterans Administration Building and surrounding Economic Community in

The continued reduction of Bus services to the Veterans Administration has placed a grave economic and physical hardships on seniors and disabled veterans who require frequent transportation to the medical services provided by the V.A.
Following the reduction of scheduled stops in 2011 veterans are obliged to wait up to an hour prior to going on to connecting routes. Many of these route are also in Hourly schedules, requiring passengers to waste large amounts of there days attempting to arrive at appointments hours early because of erratic times of the bus routes at the extreme ends of their runs.
Additional routes and half hour schedules stops would not only benefit American Veterans, but would enhance the health and vitality of Tikahtnu Commons Business Park which services JBER (Joint Bases Elmendorf/Richardson ) as well as the North Muldoon area.
This would show to both Military and Anchorage Citizen that our commitment to Service members both present and past is not just "lip service", and that we value the sacrifices they have endured and are honored that they are a part of our Anchorage Community
