Return Werner Henke back to Thorn

Hello. This petition is to correct a truley dishonorible injustice which has occured and still continues. Werner Henke was a highly decorated german u-boat commander durring WW2. He was the commander of submarine u-515 and was sunk at 1510hrs on 9 April, 1944 in the mid-Atlantic north of Madeira, Portugal, in position 34.35N, 19.18W, by rockets from 4 Avenger and Wildcat aircraft (VC-58) of the US escort carrier USS Guadalcanal and depth charges from the US destroyer escorts USS Pope, USS Pillsbury, USS Chatelain and USS Flaherty . He and 40 other crew members were captured and sent to fort hunt virginia. He was being accused of shooting survivors of the SS Ceramic, which was sunk on Dec 7 1942. He was beaten and psycologicaly tortured until June 15 1944, when he had been driven to suicide (he had walked out to the deadline and he was warned to stop or the guards would shot but he continued and died there. He is now currenty buried at fort meade maryland. This petitons goal is to be able to send Werner back to Thorn.
