Uluanovsk, Russia - drunk men killed a tiny thirsty baby elk
This happend on July 12 at Volga river, Ulyanovsk area. Mother elk with 2 babies came to the river for a drink- this summer was extremely hot in Rissia and especially hard on wild animals. Otherwise the elk would never have been drinking water next to people.
Drunk tourists separated a baby elk from his mother , moved him away and started to beat him with bats. The baby cried but it didn't stop the killers. The baby elk died of wounds.
The local police still can't or doesn't want to find killers. People suspect that the killers belong to local wealthy group, that's why police doesn't rush to arrest them. We ask people from the world who care about wildlife join us in this petition to Russian President Medvedev and Priemier Putin to make the Uluanovsk police to find, arrest and punish the cruel killers.
