Working together for the good of humanity concerning HIV/AIDS.

Our children of today and future generations need to be aware, focused and educated about what is going on in their world now.

Too much has happend already; ignorance and myths are paving the way for hatred and fear about HIV/AIDS and the vast majority of people, including many youth and adults in their early 20's, 30's - some even older, are not even slightly aware of how safe being around someone who is HIV positive actually is.

Most think that in today's society we are well informed enough to cast our own personal judgements unto those who are infected; some christians actually feel that the disease is a punishment from God.

However if they knew the scriptures, these "christians" would know God is LOVE; he heals all; Leporsy, blindness, cripples and mental illness were some of the things our Lord cured in Men, women and children.

We must continue to have faith, to pray and teach the youth of today how important compassion, love, support and mercy are.  They are our hope for a brighter, better tomorrow, all the children need is positive guidence from their peers - US.

LET NOT THE PAST DETERMIND THE FUTURE - Kids today are much to smart for that, they see the truth through the dark and uglyness of this angry infested world into a gentler, kinder, peace filled world. without judgements of any kind.

Let's not ruin it for them by putting idea's into their heads - idea's we grew up believing and never questioned because it not an option.

CHILDREN OUR HOPE - REMEMBER THAT.

How would you react if a loved one or a friend was diagnosised with HIV/AIDS?  Would your reaction be different or would accept them regardless?

There are several ways you can help:

1. Become throughly educated about HIV/AIDS.

2. Bring awareness about the disease to others.

3. Dispell myths and speak up for those who are being persecuted because they have HIV/AIDS.

4. Volunteer at a local hospital or community center, support HIV positive individuals.

5. Write to your local goverment policitians concerning HIV/AIDS health issues.  Find out where presidential canadates stand when it comes to funding and other issues as well.

6. Find an organization/charity your comfortable with, help out with fundraising such as; passing out flyers; collecting pledges or donations for walks - just get the word out.

It's not enough to say "Yeah I care."

We need to become involved; to volunteer, get educated and raise awareness is all apart of the bigger picture.

Today, kids are much more sexually active than previous years, they, unfortunately don't believe the facts surrounding HIV/AIDS or that there even exsist a disease such as HIV/AIDS, that is is myth to stop them from having sex.

These youth were not even born during the outbreak of the disease, so for many the mere thought this is not a reality.

Many also feel it cannot and will not happen to "them" because they know what to look for; how to descern what is unhealthy.

How many will die as a result?

Also it's extimated that youth in the U.S. feel it's not their problem; countries such as Africa or other "third" world countries are.
