Ear-cropping is illegal in the United Kingdom, but that didn't stop this couple from cruelly practicing it on dogs. Luckily, in addition to their rehabilitation and community service, both abusers were given a lifetime ban on animal ownership. People who engage in this horrible practice clearly are unfit to care for animals.
This was exactly the right move for this case, one made by local Stoke-on-Trent officials. It's time all people convicted of this type of abuse receive a lifetime ban on animal ownership.
