Plastic: Invisible to The Naked Eye

Even though plastic doesn’t show its extent in the area, if you look close enough you’ll be able to see how much there actually is. This sums up how much of a problem plastic can be- it is sometimes not seen by the naked eye. Most families throw away about 40kg of plastic per year, which could otherwise be recycled. In addition to this, plastic can take up to 500 years to decompose! It's an ever growing market, with an increase of 4% more plastic waste in Europe! We produce and use twenty times more plastic today than we did 50 years ago. We can prevent this by using certain plastics more than once- and ban single-use plastic. This will help for decreasing the use of plastic in the UK. We, @townandbeachclean, believe that animals, marine life and even us as humans deserve a better environment. This petition will help us reach our goal of having a better environment for all wildlife. We are hoping that this gets enough popularity for the UK Government to address this problem and take action on single-use plastics.
