People should sign this because the New General Motors was issued a ruling that the company is immune and protected from any lawsuits resulting from accidents occuring prior to July 10,2009. Many will ultimately never recover for there injuries or loss.
A Federal Judge by the name of Robert Gerber in New York City issued a ruling and decided that GM was immune and protected from any lawsuits resulting from accidents prior to July 10,2009. Several cases and families are invovled in this ruling. Many plaintiiff lawyers are going to appeal the ruling to the 2nd Circuit Court. If the judgement is not reversed on appeal, many may never recieve anything for there injuries. This is completly unfair, manyy of the cars that had this defect were made before the year 2009, and many injuries occured in the cars that were made before 2009. We need to fight this, it is morally incorrect this company makes millions, billions of dollars a year how can they get away with this, they were even fined a low amount for this defective part. What if it was there family memeber who was injuried would they fight for them to recieve compensation?
