Making public food chains Deaf and HOH friendly.

As a deaf individual it is hard for me to make food and drink orders in a restaurant. Pointing and gestures only get you so far. Most restaurant customer service workers are not patient enough and can be very rude when trying to take an order from someone who is D/deaf or Hoh. Some have even gone as far as calling the police because they do not want to deal with us. As a tax payer I have the right to go to any dinning establishment and receive the same respect as a hearing person.
Every restaurant has a menu yes but why should I have to step out of line and write down every little item I want to order. For a business to be handicap accessible that show including the D/deaf and HOH. It is not a physical handicap but it is a limitation. If fast food and dine - in restaurants have paper menus for the D/deaf and HOH then we can fill out what we want to order with no confusion or miscommunication. This should include the drive thru as well. I have heard of a fast food restaurant that has a button for the D/deaf and HOH to let the drive thru worker know the person is D/deaf or HoH but I have never seen one for myself. Why is this not nation wide. If we all pay taxes then we all deserve the same customers service.
