Demand Accountability for McDonald's mistreatment of Disabled Iraq Veteran
- al: Ana Leite
- destinatario: Mr. James A. Skinner, Chairman and CEO, McDonald's Corporation
We, the undersigned, respectfully ask McDonald’s to publicly apologize to Captain Luis Carlos Montalván and his service dog, Tuesday, for the discrimination, harassment, physical and emotional abuse he suffered from McDonald's employees at your restaurant located in Brooklyn, New York. We also ask that you mandate comprehensive training for each and every McDonald’s employee on the provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Captain Montalván served two tours of duty in Iraq. Tuesday is a golden retriever who helps him with balance, mobility and emotional support. Our veterans should come home and be afforded the utmost respect and support they need after experiencing the trauma and horrors that are often witnessed in war. These steps will demonstrate McDonald’s real commitment to corporate social responsibility and respect for veterans and human rights. To watch video of the attack and description please visit:
