SAVE GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY-SAY NO TO A SALVAGE YARD

Over this past weekend all Grandview Speedway Race Fans were getting word that the racetrack was sold to a company called Copart. Which is a Salvage yard. There is already one located at 2704 Gerryville Pike in Pennsburg, PA. Bringing in a salvage yard to this community will only bring wear and tear on our roadways, run off oil,gas and antifreeze to nearby residential homes, streams or creeks. Devaluation of surrounding properties. The increase of traffic to this location will only cause traffic disasters, so red lights will need to be put up on route 100 and passmore road and at passmore road and hoffmansville road. Which are located in the Bechtelsville community. This racetrack has been around for over 60 years and alot of race fans have been coming every Saturday night for that long also. To take away something that brings smiles and excitement to kids all the way to adults is devastating. My uncle and grandfather that passed would be so heartbroken if they were still alive, because they raced here every Saturday night also. But its not just my family or friends that came here, but thousands of other race fans families and friends, boyfriends, husbands also. I will share all the great memories that people have posted over the last few days. This land needs to be sold to someone that wants to keep the racing spirit alive for another 60 years and not just sell if because of greed.

On Thursday 9/22/2022 there was a council meeting in regards to Copart and Grandview.
Grandview Racetrack owners stated that no one ever has approached then about buying the racetrack, which is not true. There was an offer couple of years ago from Tony Stewart. If they knew that they wanted to sell, why didn't they contact him again. If they knew they wanted to sell!!! Coparts first application was denied and they have 60 days to fix or correct the issues.
