Pat & Sharon Mullen are in a dispute with the Electricity Supply Board, the E.S.B want to put three electricity pylons on their land. Pat & Sharon are refusing due to concerns about the adverse effects of these overhead power lines on their health, their childrens health and that of their livestock. Furthermore, they are concerned about the devaluing of four sites by the erection of these massive pylons within their picturesque farmland and its effect on their childrens inheritance. They want the E.S.B to place the power lines under ground.
A simple request:
To bury the 220,000 volt power lines underground. This dispute is in its 11th year for Sharon and Pat, who have three beautiful babies. Sharon was arrested Tuesday February 1st for not allowing the ESB entry on her land to proceed to erect these pylons. Please help support this family in their fight for the right to protect their families health and wellbeing and preserve the environment of their own farmland.
In other E.U. countries the courts have ruled that overhead power lines infringe individual's human rights. This has lead to dismantling of pylons in Spain.
We don't inherit the Earth. We preserve it for our grandchildren.

We the undersigned in an effort to safeguard the health and wellbeing of the Mullen family call on Mr Paraic McManus of the Electricity Supply Board / Eirgrid to sanction the installation of underground power lines as opposed to overhead power lines on the farmland belonging to Mr & Mrs Mullen of Ballymote, Co Sligo.
